One process, three stages

Our eight-step translation delivery workflow

This is the full workflow reference. Review depth and reporting follow L1–L4: L1 provides basic QC; full domain-expert review is part of L3. You can request human-only translation at L3 or L4.

01 · Preparation

Brief and confirm

Your files, intended use and requirements

  1. Client Submission

Files, glossaries, reference materials, and target language specs are uploaded. A dedicated project manager is assigned immediately.

02 · Production and review

Translate and verify

Terminology, language and quality checks

  1. AI Draft Generation

Enterprise-grade LLM processes the content, grounded in our industry terminology assets built over 26+ years. Initial draft completed at 4× human speed.

  2. Terminology Matching

Every key term is cross-referenced against the client's project glossary and our 26-year industry terminology database. Inconsistencies flagged automatically before human review begins.

  3. Domain Expert Review

Review depth follows the service level. At L3, a linguist with domain-specific academic qualifications (engineering, medical, legal, aerospace) reviews the full document. At this step, domain intent, compliance precision, cultural register, and contextual accuracy are verified line by line.

  4. LISA QA Audit

An independent QA review applies the LISA QA 3.1 standard. Defect classification by severity. Compliance-critical projects receive formal QC report and written quality guarantee.

03 · Delivery and reuse

Deliver and build continuity

Final files, terminology and feedback

  1. Format Restoration + Delivery

Translated content restored to original format (PDF, Word, InDesign, DITA, XML, software strings). Multi-language simultaneous release supported. A QC report accompanies the final files at L3 and above.

  2. Terminology Extraction

All new approved terminology pairs are extracted and added to the client's dedicated term base. Project glossary delivered alongside translation. This asset compounds in value with every project.

  3. Continuous Optimization

Each completed project builds up that client's terminology assets and reference base. The accumulated terminology and style preferences reduce time and error rates on subsequent projects — without their content ever entering model training.

Know what to expect

What will you receive, and what should you confirm?

Translated files

The translated content is delivered in the agreed format. The workflow supports documents, publishing files, structured content and software strings.

Confirm: Languages, source version, file format and delivery date.

Project glossary

Approved terminology pairs are delivered alongside the translation and added to the client term base to support consistent future documents.

Confirm: Existing approved terms and who confirms new terminology.

Quality report · L3 and above

The QA report accompanies the final files at L3 and above. Review depth, reporting and quality commitments follow the chosen service level.

Confirm: Review requirements, report scope and acceptance criteria.

Your team provides the context

Send the current source version, intended use, language direction, deadline and approved references. Tell us about confidentiality requirements and any restrictions on AI tools at briefing.

Our team manages the agreed delivery

A project manager coordinates the files and requirements. Translation, review, QA and formatting follow the agreed service level; approved terms and feedback support subsequent projects.

Match review to intended use

Which review level fits your documents?

Use the three-question guide if you are unsure. The level sets what is reviewed and the quality commitment; an AI draft alone does not establish fitness for the intended use.

Tools inside the process

Which model does what

Model assignment varies by language and stage. People direct the workflow and determine the required review.

Chinese-language translation and review

Qwen MT

Trained heavily on Chinese; handles Chinese sentence structure and domain phrasing more reliably.

Foreign-language translation and review

Google translation model

Widest language coverage, and steadier on smaller languages than general-purpose chat models.

Creative content in foreign languages

Anthropic

Finer control of tone, rhythm and register — for copy that has to read as though written natively.

Regulatory and legal review

OpenAI

Holds reference and conditional relationships across long clauses; in this material a structural error costs more than an awkward word.

Model selection also depends on confidentiality terms. Client documents are not used to train public or third-party models. Confidentiality & security →

Checks behind the delivery

Terminology, specialist review and quality assurance

These controls support the delivery. The selected service level determines review depth and reporting.

Terminology Management

Approved client terminology and references guide the project. Confirm glossary creation, update responsibilities and delivery format in the scope; terminology assets support consistency across subsequent versions.

Domain Expert Assignment

The document type, intended use and service level determine the specialist review required. Confirm the relevant domain experience and review responsibilities before work starts; full domain-expert review is part of L3.

LISA QA Audit Standard

Quality checks follow the service level and agreed acceptance criteria. Where the LISA QA framework is used, defects are classified by severity and category. A QC report is included at L3 and above; this framework is not a separate certification.

Data Security + NDA

NDAs are available. Agree file access, transfer, retention and AI restrictions before sharing sensitive material. Client documents are not used to train public or third-party models. Specific technical controls must be confirmed for the project.

Project questions

Questions about AI + expert translation

01Is AI translation secure? Will my confidential content be used to train AI models?

Client documents are not used to train public or third-party models. NDAs are available. Before sharing sensitive files, agree the permitted tools, access, transfer, retention and deletion requirements. Zero retention, encryption arrangements or local deployment must be confirmed for the specific project; they are not universal promises.

02If AI can translate in seconds, why do I still need human experts?

A fluent draft can still contain terminology, meaning or context errors. Human review checks the aspects agreed for the service level, including specialist review at L3. Translation review supports the intended use; it does not guarantee regulatory approval or replace the responsibilities of the applicant or manufacturer. Delivery responsibilities and acceptance criteria are agreed in writing.

03How is terminology consistency maintained across a multi-document project?

Provide approved terms, previous translations and the current source version. The team uses these references in translation and the checks included in your service level. Agree how new terms are approved, how version changes are handled, and whether a project glossary is included in the delivery.

04Can I request that AI is not used for my project?

You can request human-only translation at L3 or L4. Confirm the permitted tools and handling requirements before work starts, especially for sensitive files. Terminology and QA tools may still be used within the agreed restrictions.

05What AI models do you use?

Model selection varies by language, document type, stage and confidentiality terms. The model examples above describe possible roles, not a fixed assignment for every file. Human review, QC and reporting follow the agreed L1–L4 scope; a model name alone does not establish suitability for your intended use.

06How long does a typical project take?

Delivery dates are confirmed after reviewing the files, volume, language pair, formatting, review scope and required deadline. Regulatory and technically complex material may require additional review time. Tell us your deadline so we can assess feasibility; an inquiry response or quotation time is not a promise to complete the translation within that period.

07How is pricing calculated?

Pricing depends on source word count, language pair, content type and service level. L1 and L2 offer indicative savings versus human-only translation; L3 is comparable to human-only, while L4 carries a 20–50% premium for expert translation and creative adaptation. Send your files for a formal quote within 24 hours. The instant estimate is an initial budget reference.

08Do you sign NDAs? How is confidentiality handled?

Yes. NDAs cover the people involved in delivery, including translators and reviewers. Where AI assists, it operates inside our controlled delivery workflow under human direction. Client documents are not used to train public or third-party models. Tell us about specific handling, retention or AI restrictions at briefing so the project requirements can be agreed.

09Can you handle long-term ongoing translation relationships?

Yes. Agree version control, terminology ownership, review responsibilities and a delivery schedule for recurring work. Approved terminology and feedback can support later projects. Published case studies show specific ongoing relationships; they do not guarantee the same result or timetable for a new project.

10What languages do you support?

230+ languages. Key language pairs include Chinese with English, German, Japanese, Korean, French and Arabic. Tell us the language direction, target market and document type so we can confirm the appropriate specialist team.
