Start with the training set, not just the slides
A Chinese training set should let a reader move between a module, its presentation, speaker notes and any related test without losing the reference. Translating a slide deck in isolation can leave the trainer using an older term or the learner answering a question against a different version.
Identify the intended audience and purpose before quotation: product familiarization, distributor training, a technical overview or another defined use. Supply the approved source files and specify Simplified or Traditional Chinese. Translation does not create a new training program or replace the product owner’s approval of the teaching content.

Module map. List the source module ID, title, revision and companion files. Flag missing modules rather than silently treating the received set as a complete course.
Slides and notes. State whether speaker notes, diagrams, embedded text and handouts are included. Use the same approved product names and terms across them. Ask for editable presentations when layout work is required.
Questions and answers. Keep question numbers, options and the corresponding answer key linked. A language question belongs in the query sheet; a scientific or product-content question goes to the owner responsible for the source. Do not rewrite an answer because it appears inconsistent.
Return formats. Specify the Chinese Word or presentation files, a bilingual review copy and any agreed query register. A timed subtitle file or finished video is a separate output from translated training text.

A retained English-to-Chinese training commission
A signed project agreement dated 2013 commissions English-to-Chinese training modules for a medical diagnostics business, with Word or PDF listed as the translation format. A companion English training overview in the archive connects modules, presentation notes, tests and answer keys around a blood-glucose monitoring system.
The retained records support the commissioned language direction and this document scope. They do not establish a complete retained Chinese course, delivery of classroom training or a final customer acceptance result. The agreement and original course content remain private; the review sheet above uses invented references.
The separate NIPRO Medical case describes Chinese-to-English registration and technical documentation for the Hefei operation. It is related sector experience, with a different entity, period and language direction from the training commission.
Move from document review to a clear inquiry
Ask the product or training owner to confirm the source revision, intended readers and the scope of technical review. Record which files are ready for translation and which questions are still open. Keep translation completion separate from approval to use the training content.
For video-based material, use the existing Chinese subtitle and audiovisual guide; for product instructions, use the IFU review guide. These are complementary file types, not interchangeable deliverables.
Compare the life-science document service and the English-to-Chinese route, then prepare a training-file inquiry with a representative module, file inventory, source revision, Chinese variant, required return formats and target date.
