This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we handle it. Confidentiality is central to our work: client documents are handled under NDA across our delivery chain, and this policy sits alongside — not in place of — the specific confidentiality terms in your engagement.

This policy covers this website. It sits alongside — not in place of — the confidentiality terms in your engagement; where the two differ, your signed terms control.
No cookies, no tracking. This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It loads no third-party scripts, no analytics, no advertising tags and no externally hosted fonts — the fonts are served from this domain. Nothing on these pages reports your visit to anyone else. That is why you are not being asked to accept a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is served — IP address, time, page requested, browser and referring page — as web servers do. We use it to operate and secure the site.
What you send us. The quote and contact forms on this site do not submit to our servers. They open a message in your own email application, pre-filled with what you typed, which you then send yourself to info@trsol.com. Nothing reaches us until you press send in your own mail client, and you can see and edit the message first.
Files you send for quotation. Documents and reference material you email us are used solely to scope, quote and — if you engage us — deliver your project. We do not repurpose them, and we do not use client documents to train public or third-party AI models.

We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we carry out no automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun) — website hosting and storage. Servers in mainland China.
Tencent Enterprise Email — the mail service behind our info@trsol.com address, which receives the messages you send us. Servers in mainland China.
That is the complete list for this website. There is no analytics provider, no form-processing service, no CDN, no advertising network and no third-party font host: nothing on these pages loads from a domain other than ours.
We also submit our page addresses to Baidu, Bing and Google webmaster tools so that our pages can be indexed. Those are tools used by us as the site owner; they do not run on these pages and they do not collect information about your visit.
Separately from this website, delivering a project involves the translators and reviewers assigned to it. They work under confidentiality obligations that extend to them as individuals, not only to the contracting entity — see our Confidentiality & Security page.
We are based in Shanghai and our website and email are hosted in mainland China. If you are in the EEA or the UK, information you send us is therefore transferred to and processed in a third country that is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the UK government. We would rather say that plainly than bury it.
For an enquiry you send us on your own initiative, that transfer is necessary in order to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform a contract if you engage us — the derogations in Article 49(1)(b) GDPR. In practice, the message travels from your own mail client to our inbox, which is the transfer you are initiating when you write to us.
For an ongoing engagement involving personal data, appropriate transfer safeguards — including Standard Contractual Clauses and any supplementary measures your assessment requires — can be agreed as part of the contract. Raise it at the briefing stage and we will confirm what we can put in place.
You should also know that this means your information is subject to the laws of the People’s Republic of China, including circumstances in which authorities there may require access to data. We tell you this so you can decide what to send us; if the sensitivity of your material makes that a problem, talk to us before you send anything.
Server logs: retained for a short operational period and then overwritten in the ordinary course of running the server.
Enquiries that do not become projects: kept while the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it, then deleted.
Project material and correspondence: kept for as long as needed to deliver the work and to meet legitimate business, legal, accounting or tax obligations.
Where you have specified retention or destruction terms for your files, those terms govern over this general description. If you want files removed on a particular schedule after delivery, raise it at the start so it is built into the engagement rather than handled ad hoc.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; to have it corrected; to have it erased; to restrict or object to how we process it; to receive it in a portable form; and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these, write to info@trsol.com. We do not charge for this and we will respond within one month, extending only where the request is complex and telling you if we do. We may need to confirm your identity first.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the EU, the data protection authority of the member state where you live, work, or where you believe the problem occurred; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to come to us first, though we would prefer the chance to put something right.
Where the PRC Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) applies, you have corresponding rights of access, correction, deletion and withdrawal of consent, exercisable through the same address.
This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Where a change materially affects how we handle information you have already sent us, we will say so rather than relying on the date alone.
