AI Translation

What AI translation can and cannot do, where expert review is non-negotiable, and how the two are combined in practice.

01What is the fundamental difference between AI translation and human translation?▾

AI can produce a fast draft and assist with terminology and automated checks. It does not take responsibility for a project or replace review appropriate to its intended use. Our review depth follows the agreed service level and project brief.

02Why can't AI fully replace human translators?▾

Fluent output can still miss a source condition, a technical distinction or the intended use. Qualified reviewers check those risks against the source and references. Responsibility, acceptance and remedies belong in the service agreement; provider terms and regulatory requirements vary.

03Which types of content are suitable for AI-only translation?▾

AI-assisted drafting with basic QC can suit low-consequence internal reference and repetitive content. Content type alone is not enough: product claims, safety text, personal data and externally binding correspondence need additional review. L1 is not unreviewed output and has no error-rate commitment.

04Which projects require mandatory expert review?▾

We recommend domain-expert review for safety-critical, regulatory, contractual, patent and brand-sensitive material. That is a risk-based service recommendation, not a claim that every authority mandates the same translator credential. Confirm the filing and sign-off requirements for the actual market.

05Is AI translation secure? Will my files be used for model training?▾

Our policy is not to use client documents to train public or third-party models. No-training and retention are different controls. Confirm the processing route, provider terms, access, storage location and deletion arrangements before sending sensitive material; this page does not establish a universal zero-retention or encryption specification.

06Can I request no AI be used for my project?▾

You can request a human-only workflow. Confirm availability, review depth, price and delivery schedule before the project starts; an AI restriction should be recorded in the agreed brief rather than assumed from the service-level name.

07Which AI models do you use?▾

Model selection depends on language, content and confidentiality constraints. AI operates within a human-directed delivery workflow; the agreed service level determines expert review and QC reporting. Ask which provider and processing route would apply to your specific project.

08Why is AI translation sometimes cheaper — and sometimes not?▾

AI can reduce drafting effort, while specialist review, layout and validation still take time. L1 and L2 have different reference costs; L3 is comparable to human-only service and L4 carries a premium in our service-level guide. Actual savings and lead time depend on the files and agreed scope.
